For Yoga for Body & Mind community group classes - Published 29.09.20 (Amended 03.05.21)
The following procedures have been considered in line with current restrictions, public guidance and law. They are designed to ensure the maximum comfort and safety of all students and to maintain a 'Covid-secure' venue and may be amended as things change. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and please let me know if you are unsure of anything.
Pre-booking for class is essential**.
You should not attend class if you are feeling unusually unwell, and particularly if experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 (a high temperature, a new continuous cough,a loss or change to your sense of smell/taste).
Everyone should bring and wear a mask or face covering whilst waiting, entering and leaving the halls for class.
You are required to bring your own mats and other yoga props (suggested block, brick, blanket, belt and bolster/pillow), as these will no longer be shared in class. If you are unable to source these items, second-hand stock is available for purchase.
All students are required to fill in a student details form before arrival at class, giving details of health history, next of kin and emergency contact details.
Before class, students are required to wait socially distanced and quietly outside the hall (Friends Meeting House or St Mark’s Church Hall), to be let in approximately 10 minutes before class is due to begin. Your patience is requested as the door will be opened when the space is ready, allowing for hands-free entry. Please be aware that there may be other activities taking place, so it is important to keep talking to a minimum outside the doors.
Students should sanitise hands upon entering the halls.
When inside, students will be asked to place their mats in distanced rows of four at Friends Meeting House, and in rows of three at St Mark’s Church Hall. A maximum of 12 students will be permitted to practice in either venue.
Adrienne will not wear a face mask whilst teaching and they are not mandatory for students. However, if you wish to wear a face mask, you are welcome to.
Hands-on adjustments will not be given and students are encouraged to remain in their practice space throughout the class, unless in an emergency.
(If closed) Adrienne will open the main exit door to enable hands-free exit from the halls.
Please note that all points raised here are subject to change, as government guidance adapts to changing circumstances.
Should a student experience symptoms during class, they should inform me and discuss whether to leave class (with possible further discussion with the group). Should a student test positive for Covid-19, other students present at the time will be informed of about this (no personal information will be shared) and cancellation of class for a 1-2 week period will be considered (further risk assessment to be considered).
**Contact Adrienne preferably by phone/text to request/confirm your attendance, or do so for a period in advance. Payment is preferred by bank transfer at least 3 hours prior to commencement of the class. However, should this be a difficult arrangement, please contact Adrienne at least 24 hours in advance to make another arrangement. Please see the Charges & Fees/Timetable sections of the website for prices. Adrienne will advise of bank details upon enquiry.
Cleaning and Hygiene
Please avoid touching your face, eyes, nose or mouth with your hands and always catch coughs and sneezes in tissues (provided by Adrienne, if required).
Sanitising wipes and hand sanitiser will be available, should you wish to clean your equipment or hands at any point.
The halls used are thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis and hand sanitiser dispensers are in situ at Friends Meeting House and St Mark’s Church Hall. Main areas and door handles will be disinfected immediately before and after class.
Inside classes are finally back! See the Timetable section for details and contact me to book in xx
